Bossier City Charter Bus Stops: Must-Visit Spots & Stops

shreveport and bossier skyline

Bossier City, formally known as Bennett’s Bluff, has a bit of an interesting backstory. The city was originally named after William Bennett who shared a plantation with his wife and business partner. As fate would have it, when Bennett passed, his wife found love with his business partner James Cane, and to no surprise, the name of the area was then changed to Cane’s Landing. How did it get to be Bossier City? Great question. Well, eventually when Governor Earl Kemp Long labeled the area an official city, it was renamed once more as the Village of Bossier City, and that brings us to today. The Bossier City population is around 67,935 and has a yearly visiting population of around 8.5 million. This city’s cooking up more than just a few name changes. If you’re in search of things to do with your Bossier City charter bus, look no further. We’ll be the eyes, guiding you through the darkness, or, you know, through the Bossier City area.

Cafe USA

Given our southern hospitality, we want to start your Bossier charter bus trip off right, and by right we mean fed. What’s for breakfast? We give you Cafe USA, a classic spot for all your morning cravings. Self-described as a cozy and kid-friendly cafe, Cafe USA offers quick and hospitable service. We know you’re wondering, but what is there to eat? The menu offers classic steak and eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, omelets, and, best of all, fresh brewed coffee. If pastries are your heart’s desire, you’re in for a sweet surprise, Cafe USA is known for its outstanding baked goods. Go to the spot that will have you singing “Born in the USA”.

Margaritaville Resort Casino

When you think Bossier, you probably think casinos and that’s exactly where we’re taking your Bossier City charter bus group next. Margaritaville Resort Casino is a classic, and here, everyone gets lucky. The initial talk of Margaritaville Resort Casino happened in 2011 and was a hefty $170-million resort project. The casino was to be affiliated with Jimmy Buffet’s brand, of course and was an instant hit. Today, Vici Properties owns the casino, and it brings in around $25 million a year. What does this casino have to offer, other than margaritas, of course? Let’s get a running start with 1,200 slot machines just waiting for you and your Bossier charter bus crew to get your hands on. More of a card person? Enjoy one of their classic table games. Lastly, eat at one of their many restaurants. Come get Daft Punk and “stay up all night to get lucky.”

Brookshire Grocery Arena

You’ve got a group, and we’ve got an arena. The Brookshire Grocery Arena is a 14,000-seat arena, named after the Brookshire Grocery Group in Tyler, Texas. The area was the 2001 host of the Southland Conference men’s basketball tournament, and in 2011, the arena hosted the NCAA women’s basketball tournament. Although originally known for sports, the arena hosts a variety of events like concerts and even monster trucks driving in true Southern fashion. Check out their website’s event section to see what’s happening and pick your choice.

Krewe of Gemini Mardi Gras Museum

This might not be New Orleans, but it’s close enough. Let’s talk about Mardi Gras, specifically Krewe of Gemini. This Krewe is the first parading krewe of modern times in Bossier City. What to anticipate when you arrive? As their site says, you can expect glitz, glamour, fun, and fantasy. The museum holds over a decade of Mardi Gras memorabilia from north Louisiana. The museum has 10,000 square feet of glamorous costumes and still holds space for special events when needed. Get your Bossier City charter bus to stop here and see what Louisiana carnival history brings to the table.

Dare Ultra Pool and Day Club

Once again, we’ve brought you to another casino, but not to gamble, to swim. The Dare Ultra Pool and Day Club is one of the only pool bars in the area and hosts some of the best day parties around that can be said to attract hundreds year-round and even celebrities from time to time. Located in the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino, this pool bar and day club has 14 cabanas, 30 lounge chairs, and one cool vibe. The pool can be described as a 2,353-square-foot oasis, that provides a fun atmosphere, delicious cocktails, and of course a sparkling blue pool to cool off in. Spend your day with your Bossier charter bus group vacationing like you should.

Jack Binion’s Steak House

We’re going to send you off just right with this feast made for a last dinner. At Jack Binion’s Steak House, you can find upscale dining for a refined taste. This restaurant provides comfortable seating and modern decor, and of course, steak, and only the finest. Not a steak person? There’s more on this menu, including pasta and seafood. This is the kind of spot you go to impress or enjoy or even both. Grab your favorites and chow down at one of the best steakhouses in northern Louisiana.
